A jet ferrying the US defense secretary was forced to make an emergency landing in the Britain on Wednesday after a crack was found in the aircraft's cockpit window, per an official announcement which stated that Hegseth was safe.
"The plane touched down following established safety measures and all passengers, such as Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a press officer stated in a social media post.
He was traveling back from a quick journey to Brussels during the flight.
This event is not the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a high-ranking official has experienced mechanical issues.
In a previous incident this year, a American military jet ferrying Marco Rubio to Munich was required to head back to the US capital after suffering a technical issue.
