President Trump Vows Firm Response Following Beheading of Indian-origin Motel Manager

US President Donald Trump has sharply criticized the brutal beheading of a motel manager of Indian descent hotel manager in Texas last week.

"The time for being soft on these undocumented criminals is OVER under my administration," the President declared in a post on his social media platform.

Details of the Shocking Event

The victim, fifty years old, was allegedly attacked with a knife by his colleague Yordanis Cobos-Martinez in front of his family after a dispute over a malfunctioning appliance.

Yordanis Cobos-Martinez, who is now in jail, has been accused of homicide.

Trump’s Statement

Trump promised that Mr Cobos-Martinez "will face justice to the fullest extent of the law" and is to be "indicted for murder in the most severe charge."

He also targeted the Biden administration, claiming that Mr Cobos-Martinez had been earlier detained for multiple offenses, including accused child abuse, but was "released back into society because his home country refused to take him back."

Immigration Status of the Suspect

According to official sources, Mr Cobos-Martinez is an unauthorized migrant with a final order of removal from the US.

He was reportedly in custody at a center in Dallas but was freed on an order of supervision in January after authorities "would not accept him due to his background."

Victim’s Life

Nagamallaiah, who originated from the Indian state of South India, worked at the a local motel in Dallas.

He attended school and college in Bangalore, southern India, before relocating to the US in 2018. His son recently graduated high school and is planning to begin college.

Details of the Incident

The assault occurred on 10 September. Police responded to a "stabbing call" and determined through investigation that the accused had cut the victim multiple times with an blade.

ICE has placed a hold on Mr Cobos-Martinez at the local jail, where he is currently in detention.

Aftermath

Nagamallaiah’s last rites were conducted on September 13 in Texas, attended by loved ones.

A donation drive initiated to aid his family has raised over $321K so far.
