Trump's Granddaughter Seeks Professional Guidance from Tiger Woods Prior to Professional Golf First Appearance
This young athlete boasts impressive social media audience
The young golfer can count on numerous prominent backers as she starts her first LPGA appearance on Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be connected to a former US president, was granted a tournament invitation to participate at Florida's Annika event in Florida.
The former president, an avid golfer, operates numerous courses worldwide and frequently plays against his granddaughter.
"He's fairly competent. I shouldn't elaborate but we play some close matches," she mentioned.
Kai explained that her grandfather, who cannot attend, advised her: "Just don't get nervous."
"He practically told me to go out there and enjoy myself," she continued.
"In my eyes, he's simply a regular grandfather. He can't make it for the tournament. He's busy with presidential duties, so he's quite busy."
Being non-professional, Kai has participated in a mere three competitions recently and has ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.
Yet she's able to receive tips from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with Kai's mother.
"He is the greatest golfer globally," the young golfer said.
"And he's a more impressive person. He advised me to play, have fun, adapting to the flow."
Kai will face several most prominent players in women's golf at the competition, featuring world number two Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Tournament organizers commented that involving Kai brings golf to new audiences, specifically among younger fans.
The young star has substantial online presence and has started her own fashion and living company.
Her first tee time at late afternoon GMT.
